Peak Availability V2 is a Google Chrome extension for internal use at Peak Design. It helps employees find mutually available meeting times using Google Calendar data.
The extension requests read-only access to Google Calendar free/busy information via the Google Calendar API. It reads availability only — it does not read event titles, descriptions, attendees, or any other event content.
No personal data is stored on external servers. Your Google authentication token is held temporarily in your browser by Chrome's identity API and is never transmitted to Peak Design infrastructure. Availability search results are displayed in-page only and are not logged or persisted.
No data is shared with third parties. The extension communicates only with Google's APIs and, optionally, Peak Design's internal scheduling service over an authenticated connection.
The extension uses the identity permission to authenticate with Google, storage to save your preferences locally, and activeTab / scripting to display the overlay on Google Calendar pages.
